Most of the channel sections shown on the previous pages are available plain and slotted back for surface fixing. The table below shows the allowable loads for 38/17 and 28/15 channel sections fixed at varying centres. |

The SW channel and tie system is used to restrain masonry back to steel studwork. The SW channel is fixed through the insulation back to the steel studwork using self drilling, self tapping screws which have a under head high thread, which offers maximum SW ties can be inserted at any point along the channel length and built into the masonry bed joints.
