BS8298:1994 ‘Code of practice for the design and installation of natural stone cladding and lining’ should be consulted when considering fixings for the restraint of stone cladding. BS8298 outlines recommend stone thicknesses, fixing positions and fixing materials as well as providing typical stone restraint details. The details below indicate the general requirements regarding positioning of fixings contained within BS8298.
